General terms and conditions
The General Terms and Conditions of The High Life online store have been compiled under the Consumer Protection Act (ZVPot), the Personal Data Protection Act (ZVOP-1), and the Tax Certification of Invoices Act (ZdavPR), and the Electronic Communications Act (ZEKom-1).
The High Life online store is operated by The High Life d. o. o., which is also an e-commerce service provider (hereinafter also »The High Life«).

The General Terms and Conditions determine the operation of The High Life online store, the rights, and obligations of the user and the store, and regulate the business relationship between the provider and the customer. The buyer is bound by the general conditions that are valid at the time of purchase (placing an online order). When placing an order, the user is reminded of the general terms and conditions of business and confirms his / her acquaintance with them by placing an order.
By using the website, the user confirms that he understands, accepts, and agrees to all the provisions of this Privacy and personal data protection policy.
This policy is subject to change or amendment at any time without notice or notification. By using the website after changing this policy, the user confirms that he agrees with the changes.
The provider is The High Life d.o.o., Cesta v Gorice 8, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia, which operates an online store that operates on the website https://thehighlife.eu.
A user is a person who uses the provider’s website and the online store that operates on that website.
A buyer is a person who uses the provider’s website and buys in the online store system of The High Life d.o.o., which operates on the website https://thehighlife.eu.
The High Life’s online store is an information system intended for the presentation and sale of products.
The General Terms and Conditions deal with the operation of the provider, the rights of the customer, and the business relationship between the provider and the customer
Use of the website
— explicitly agrees to the general conditions of use,
— undertakes to use the website lawfully,
— undertakes not to use the Service for publishing or promoting any content and/or advertisement that is contrary to applicable law and public order and morality,
— is responsible for knowing and respecting the applicable regulations of the Republic of Slovenia relating to the use of the website https://thehighlife.eu services will not use it for commercial, illegal or any other purposes than those specified in these conditions,
— will not distribute copyrighted content or content owned by another legal or natural person, will not attempt to obtain, collect and/or store personal data of other users, will not copy, store or transmit in whole or in part all content of the website https://thehighlife.eu will not use computer codes, malware, or anything that could interfere with, disable, or harm this service, the service provider or its software and hardware, the route provider, and telecommunications devices.
By registering on The High Life website, you become a member. Registered members as well as guests who make a quick purchase and do not need to register before making a purchase have the right to purchase in The High Life online store.
Upon registration in the online store, the visitor obtains a username that is the same as their e-mail address and password. If a user wishes to change their email address or password at any time, they can do so in their user profile.
User registration can also be made through your Facebook profile.
Availability of information
The High Life undertakes to always provide the customer with the following information:
— the identity of the company (name and registered office of the company, registration, and tax number),
— contact details that enable the user to communicate quickly and efficiently (email, telephone),
— the essential characteristics of the goods or services (including after-sales services and guarantees),
— product availability (any product offered on the website should be available within a reasonable time),
— conditions of delivery of the product (method, place, and time of delivery),
— all prices must be clearly and unambiguously set and it must be indicated whether they already include taxes and transport costs,
— method of payment and delivery,
— time validity of the offer,
— the period within which it is still possible to withdraw from the contract and the conditions for withdrawal; also, if and how much it costs the customer to return the product,
— an explanation of the complaint procedure, including all details of the contact person or customer service,
— functionality, including applicable measures for the technical protection of digital content, where appropriate,
— information on the compatibility of digital content with the hardware and software with which the company is familiar or should be aware,
— costs related to the use of the means of communication if different from the basic tariff,
— the existence of codes of conduct and the availability of any codes of conduct.
In The High Life online store, select the product and click on the »add to cart« button. For products with several options for choosing the strength, volume, aroma, etc. click on the »select option« button and select your product and click on the »add to cart« button.
If you click on the »add to cart« button, a »shopping cart« will open/appear on the right side of the screen. To continue shopping, click on the » cross« and the shopping cart will close; this allows you to continue shopping in the online store.
To remove a specific product from the shopping cart, you must click on the cart icon and click the »cross« and the »view cart« button in the shopping cart in front of the product or set the product quantity to 0 by clicking on »-«. The shopping cart is updated automatically.
To increase the quantity of a product already selected in the shopping cart, you must click on the cart icon and the »view cart« button and increase the quantity of the selected product in the shopping cart. Do this by clicking on the »+«. The shopping cart is updated automatically.
The shopping cart icon allows you to review your selected products and shows you a partial amount of your order (excluding postage).
Go through three steps to complete your purchase. Clicking on the »cart« icon will take you to the page of your selected products. To complete the purchase, click on the »proceed to checkout« button, where you fill in your personal delivery information. You also choose the method of delivery and payment.
To complete your purchase, click the »place order« button, and the system will take you to the end of your purchase.
Cash – register
To complete the order, you must click the »proceed to checkout« button in the cart and fill in all the required fields.
Delivery address: You must provide the required contact information, which is marked with an asterisk (name, surname, country, address, place, postcode, e-mail address, and telephone number), which we need to confirm and complete the order and deliver your product.

Payment Method: You can choose between two methods of payment, namely: payment by credit card or direct bank transfer.
Coupons: If the user has a valid discount coupon, enter it in the appropriate field and click the »click here to enter your code« button.
Order overview: The https://thehighlife.eu/cart/ page shows the products that the user added to the shopping cart while browsing the online store. The price of an individual product, the cost of postage, and the total cost of payment are evident even before the customer completes the order.
Completion of the order: The user can view the submitted delivery information, the payment method he has chosen, and the contents of the shopping cart. The user confirms the order by clicking on the »place order« button.
If the order has been completed, the website will display »Thank you. Your order has been received«.
Purchase notification procedure
After placing the order, the buyer receives a notification by e-mail that the order has been accepted. A member of The High Life website always has access to information on the status and content of the order at the link https://thehighlife.eu/my-account/.
The High Life may call the customer on his or her contact telephone number to verify the information or to ensure the accuracy of the delivery.
The purchase procedure for legal entities is the same as for natural persons (described above), except that at the end of the purchase it is necessary to enter the name of the company and the tax number of the company.
The right of withdrawal
In the case of distance contracts, the consumer has the right under Articles 43č and 43d of the ZVPot to notify the company within 14 days of receiving the goods to the e-mail address firstname.lastname@example.org or fill in the form that he is withdrawing from the contract without the reason for its decision must be stated.
The consumer must return the goods to the company no later than 14 days after the notice of withdrawal from the contract. The consumer returns the goods to the address: The High Life d.o.o., Cesta v Gorice 8, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The only cost borne by the consumer in connection with the withdrawal is the direct cost of returning the goods (postage).
The consumer must return the item to the seller undamaged and in the same quantity, unless the product is destroyed, damaged, lost or its quantity has decreased without the consumer’s fault (fifth paragraph of Article 43c of the ZVPot).
When returning the goods to the company, the consumer also sends an invoice for the goods and personal data and a transaction account to which he wishes to receive the returned payment. We will refund the payment immediately or within 14 days of receiving notice of withdrawal from the contract (this refund does not include the cost of returning the goods).
Upon withdrawal from the contract, where a promotional code discount code was used, these funds are considered as a discount and are not returned to the user. Only the amount paid is returned to the user’s bank account, and at the same time, the promotional code in the form of a new code is returned to the user. Upon withdrawal from the contract, a gift voucher is considered as a means of payment and returned to the user as a gift voucher.
The price in the online store is the same for both registered members and guests of the online store.
All prices include VAT unless explicitly stated otherwise. Prices are valid at the time of placing the order and do not have a predetermined validity.
Prices are valid in case of payment with the payment methods listed below, under the above conditions.
Despite the provider’s efforts to provide the most up-to-date and accurate information, the price information may be incorrect. In this case or if the price of the product changes during the processing of the order, the provider will allow the customer to withdraw from the purchase, and at the same time, the provider will offer the customer a solution that will be to the mutual satisfaction.
Prices in the online store are subject to change without notice.
The purchase agreement between The High Life d.o.o. and the customer is concluded with the customer in The High Life online store at the moment when The High Life sends the customer the first e-mail confirming his order. From this moment on, all prices and other conditions are fixed and apply to The High Life d.o.o. as for the customer.
The sales contract (i.e. the first electronic order status message) is stored electronically on The High Life server and is available to consumers upon their written request.
The High Life online store provides the following payment methods:
— credit card payment,
— direct bank transfer.
The provider must deliver the goods or services following the business conditions of Pošta Slovenije (Post Office of Slovenia) or delivery services. When placing an order, the buyer can specify a delivery address that is binding on the provider. Upon delivery, it must provide the buyer with additional information regarding the right of withdrawal, especially the conditions and manner of exercising the right itself. It must provide all the necessary information regarding the address to which the customer can turn in the event of a complaint.
If the buyer (recipient) is not at the address at the time of delivery, it is possible to pick up the package following the business conditions of Pošta Slovenije or delivery services. The High Life d.o.o provides Pošta Slovenije or the selected delivery service with the customer’s contact details. Only this takes care of the communication with the customer regarding delivery.
The provider reserves the right to choose another delivery service if it will be able to fulfill the order more efficiently.
We strive to ship all orders placed during the working day before noon on the same day in the case of payment by credit card. Orders that have a payment marked according to the proforma invoice are sent immediately after receiving the transfer to the bank account.
Orders placed during weekends and holidays are shipped the next business day.
In the case of products where a longer delivery time is specifically marked, this is taken into account.

Issuance of invoice (under the Tax Certification of Invoices Act)
After paying for the ordered products and upon delivery, The High Life also sends the invoice in physical form to the customer at the specified delivery address (the invoice is included in the package together with the ordered products). They are broken down in the invoice; price, VAT, postage costs. The buyer is obliged to check the correctness of the data before placing the order.
Promotional codes or coupons bring various benefits when purchased and are usually time-limited. You can find the active promotional code on our website, the title page of the advertising message, in our e-notifications, or in other media.
It is not possible to change the promotional code for cash. The coupon can only be redeemed in full. If the value of the purchase is higher than the value of the coupon, the holder of the promotional code must pay the difference. The purchase value must be higher than the coupon value.
Use of Coupon / Promotional Code:
Select the product you want to buy and add it to the cart.
Select the delivery method, specify the delivery address, and select the payment method.
Enter the code in the Promotional Code or Coupon field and confirm by clicking the Apply Coupon button.
When you enter the promotional code, the value of the gift vouchers is automatically deducted from the price of your order. If the amount of your order is higher than the value of the coupon, you pay the difference. You then place an online order.
The seller is liable for material defects that the item had at the time the danger passed to the buyer, regardless of whether he was aware of it or not. The seller is also liable for those factual errors that appear after the danger has passed to the buyer if they are due to a cause that already existed. A slight factual error is disregarded.
We will try to resolve any complaint or complaint as soon as possible and above all for the benefit of the customer. Complaints about purchased goods are taken into account under the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act (ZVPot).
The High Life uses appropriate technological and organizational means to protect the transfer and storage of personal data and payments.
Secure authorizations and credit card transactions are handled by The High Life d.o.o. in Bankart.
Credit card authorizations are performed in real time with immediate verification of data at banks. Card information is not stored on the server of The High Life d.o.o.

Exceptional disclosure of personal information
Data provided by The High Life d.o.o. collected and processed will be disclosed only if so provided by the Personal Data Protection Act or in good faith that such action is necessary for proceedings before courts or other state authorities.
The High Life will contact the user via means of distance communication only if the user expressly consents. The High Life will explicitly respect the user’s wish not to receive advertising messages.
Advertising emails will contain the following components:
— will be clearly and unambiguously marked as advertising messages,
— the consignor will be identified,
— various campaigns, promotions, and other marketing techniques will be marked as such,
— the method of unsubscribing from receiving advertising messages will be presented.
Ratings, opinions, and recommendations
The opinions, ratings, and recommendations that customers write are part of the functionality of the online store and are intended for the community of all users.
The High Life allows any user of the online store to write their opinion, which is additionally reviewed before the final publication. The High Life will not publish opinions or contributions that are in any way offensive, inappropriate, or that, in the sole discretion of the company, do not benefit other users and visitors to the website.
The High Life online store and all data on it, such as images of articles, graphic and video elements, etc. on the website are protected and may not be reproduced or used without the prior written permission of the company.
Limitation of liability
The High Life makes every effort to ensure that the information published on the website is up-to-date and correct. Nevertheless, product features, delivery time, or the price can change so quickly that sometimes a company fails to correct the information on its websites. In such a case, The High Life will notify the customer of the changes and allow him to withdraw from the contract or replace the ordered product.
Exclusion of liability
We reserve the right to disable the website or disable access to it due to technical or other problems and maintenance, which also means disabling or hindering the use of the online store. In case of technical problems on the website, we reserve the right to cancel orders that have been affected by a technical error. In the event of order cancellation, we will notify you as soon as possible and inform you of the next steps. You must ensure that the equipment is adequately protected against access to and use of the website. The customer must ensure the appropriate security and confidentiality of the information used to log in to the website.
Complaints and disputes
The High Life respects applicable European consumer protection laws and makes every effort to fulfill its duty to establish an effective complaint handling system and to designate a person with whom the customer can contact by telephone or e-mail in the event of a problem.
The complaint is submitted via the e-mail address email@example.com. The appeal procedure is confidential. The High Life will acknowledge receipt of the complaint within five working days, notify the customer of the period of processing, and keep him or she informed of the progress of the procedure.
The High Life is aware that an essential feature of a consumer dispute, at least as far as judicial resolution is concerned, is its disproportion between the economic value of the claim and the costs incurred in resolving the dispute itself. This is also the main obstacle to the consumer not initiating a dispute in court. Therefore, The High Life strives to the best of its ability to resolve any disputes amicably.
In the case of judicial settlement of disputes, the court having jurisdiction over the consumer’s domicile has jurisdiction.
Out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes (under Article 32 of the ZlsRPS)
Under legal norms, we do not recognize any provider of out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes as competent for resolving consumer disputes that could be initiated by the consumer under the Out-of-Court Settlement of Consumer Disputes Act. The High Life, which as a provider of goods and services enables online trade in Slovenia, publishes an electronic link to the online consumer dispute resolution platform (SRPS) on its website. The platform is available to consumers at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/main/index.cfm?event=main.home2.show&lng=en.
That regulation derives from the Out-of-Court Settlement of Consumer Disputes Act, Regulation (EU) no. Regulation (EC) No 524/2013 of the European Parliament and the Council on the online settlement of consumer disputes and amending Regulation (EC) No 2016/2004 and Directive 2009/22 / EC.

The provider may change the existing general terms and conditions without prior notice. The user undertakes to check whether the conditions of use have changed.
